Each member plays a vital role in guiding our programs, stewarding our resources, and ensuring we remain true to our vision of empowering women through dignity, development, and purpose. Together, they represent a powerful force for change—united by faith, resilience, and a shared commitment to lifting others.

Debra McDaniel

President

Debra is responsible for leading the board in fulfilling its governance responsibilities and works closely with the Executive Director to shape the strategic direction of the organization. Provides leadership in setting long-term goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment with the mission. Facilitates effective board meetings, encourages active participation from members, and ensures accountability. Collaborates on major initiatives such as program development, fundraising strategy, partnerships, and impact evaluation to ensure the sustainability and growth of the nonprofit.

Dr. Johnell Goins

Vice President

Johnell supports the Board Chair in carrying out leadership duties and steps in when the Chair is unavailable. Assists with board governance, meeting facilitation, and strategic planning. Helps ensure smooth communication between board members and staff, and plays an active role in key initiatives, decision-making, and organizational oversight.

Dr. Monica McIntyre Herron

Advisor

Monica provides guidance, insight, and support to the board and leadership team, drawing from experience or community knowledge. While not involved in daily operations, the advisor offers strategic input on key initiatives, helps identify opportunities and challenges, and may connect the organization to valuable networks or resources. She helps to ensure the nonprofit remains mission-focused and forward-thinking.

Angie Greer

 Sergeant at Arms

Angie maintains order and decorum during board meetings and official gatherings. Ensures meetings start and end on time, enforces adherence to bylaws and procedures, and supports the smooth flow of business. Assists with setting up meeting spaces, verifying attendance, and safeguarding organizational integrity and professionalism.

Eunice Blackburn

Treasurer

Eunice oversees the organization’s finances, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability in all financial matters. Manages budgeting processes, monitors income and expenses, and provides regular financial reports to the board. Works closely with staff to ensure compliance with financial policies and helps guide strategic financial planning to support the organization’s sustainability and growth.

Jackie Harpe

Event Chair

Jackie works under the direction of the Founder, implementing plans and executing all organizational events, including the annual Women’s Empowerment Brunch and the Mental Health & Wellness Fair. Manages event logistics, timelines, and budgets while coordinating with vendors, volunteers, and community partners. Ensures each event reflects the mission of the organization and delivers a meaningful, engaging experience for all participants.

Patricia Armstrong

Administrative Support

Patricia provides administrative and logistical support to the board and its officers. Helps with preparing meeting materials, scheduling meetings, taking notes, maintaining records, and distributing communications. Ensures smooth coordination of board activities and supports the overall efficiency and effectiveness of board operations.
